Criscuolo v. City of Moses Lake Causes Repeal
The Basis of the Moses Lake Pit Bull "Regulations"
As I previously reported, the City of Moses Lake has repealed their Pit bull "Regulations." I say regulations, because Moses Lake did not have an outright "ban" but a system in which Pit bulls and Pit bulls mixes were automatically declared dangerous and required to meet dangerous dog standards; muzzling, insurance, etc. A copy of the unsigned Order of Repeal can be seen here. Before we get into the legal proceedings, it is important to understand why the Ban was enacted, and the government's basis for it. The answers to those questions can be gleaned from newspaper reports and discovery produced by Moses Lake in the Criscuolo case.
The Alex Medina dog bite September 15, 2008
(Bite, Panic, Legislate)
The catalyst for the inquiry by Moses Lake into a "Pit Bull problem" began in September of 2008, after a pit bull attacked and injured six year old Alex Medina. The case was featured on dogsbite.org. As a result, a committe was created to look into regulating pit bulls. A detailed report on what transpired at the public meeting surrounding the ban can be read here. Note that not even the statistics of Moses Lake showed a problem with pit bull bites. Their own report showed that between 2005-2008 there were 24 dogs bites, four of which were caused by pit bulls. Nor was there a clear consensus shown by the public in favor of a pit bull ban or regulation.

Colleen Lynn Charges Copyright Infringement
Colleen Lynn Has FuZupf's U-Tube Video Removed
Based on Alleged Copyright Infringement
In August, Pit Bulletin Legal News broke the story of Colleen Lynn's infamous Seattle, Washington pit bull attack. Recently we were contacted by a YouTube user asking permission to use the information and material in a video version of the story. Since all of the information in the PBLN article is a matter of public record the user was given our approval to use the information.
Shortly after posting the video, FuZupf contacted PBLN concerning a notification received from YouTube that a copyright violation complaint had been filed by Colleen Lynn, Founder of Dogsbite.org.
The information provided from the PBLN report was all public record. We contacted YouTube, a subsidiary of Google.com to inquire about their process. I was then directed to the legal department via email contact. To date, I have not received a response to the inquiry made about their counter-notification procedure.
It appears that the only "copyright" objection in the video were excerpts of Lynn's story entitled "Don't Believe Everything You Hear." Fuzupf has repackaged the video without any reference to that story, which should remove Lynn's copyright objection. The "new" video can be seen below.

I. Introduction
For the first time anywhere on the web, you will be able to view, in their entirety, the Seattle Animal Control Records regarding the investigation of the June 17, 2007 bite incident involving Colleen Lynn. The link to the records will be at the end of this article. The addresses and phone numbers of the dog owner and dogwalker have been redacted, in an attempt to protect their privacy and prevent harassment. I am not sure these precautions will be effective. Ms. Lynn has had a copy of these records since 6/29/07 and has already made the photo of the dog involved public through her colleague Craven Desires here. As you can see, there has already been harassment of the dog owner. I have also redacted Ms. Lynn's information, but since she has moved to Austin, it is superfluous.
In writing this article, I have reviewed the Seattle Animal Control Records, talked personally to the dogwalker, reviewed photos of the scene, read various reports by Ms. Lynn on how she says the incident happened, and consulted a dog bite expert. The opinions in this article are my own.
II. Why This Article?
I have written on this site about the "in your face" tactics of dogsbite.org and its founder Colleen Lynn. It has always struck me as odd that she has never published the records from the June 17, 2007 incident. Many doubt the incident even happened, since there are no records available in court records or on the internet. There have been nagging questions about whether a Pit Bull was involved. The best way to silence critics would have been to publish the records. But she never did so. It seemed out of character, based on the way she villifies her opposition, as I discussed here. And when I read the Craven Desires story that featured a photo of Bull, the dog involved in the attack, it became clear that not only did such records exist, but that Ms. Lynn had them.
